Welcome To Agricultural Technology Management Agency,

What is ATMA ?

Atma is a society of key stakeholders, including department representatives from agriculture, animal husbandry, horticulture and fisheries etc, who are involved in agricultural activities for sustainable agricultural development at the district-level, and act as a focal point for integrating research and extension activities, and decentralising day-to-day management of the public agricultural technology system (ATS). It is a registered society responsible for technology dissemination at the district level.

As a society, it is empowered to receive and expend project funds, entering into contracts and agreements and maintaining revolving accounts that can be used to collect fees and thereby recovering operating cost.

Expressing concern at the lack of well-laid down protocol for growing horticulture products, he said the union government should initiate efforts to educate farmers on growing specific products suiting particular agro-climatic zones.
